1940s Eberhard Pre-Extra Fort Chronograph Gold

Case: 40 mm, 18 K gold step case, snap-in case back, unsigned crown (replacement).

Dial: Black and gold dial, Arabic numerals and telemètre scale, golden hands

Movement: Hand wound Eberhard 16000

Strap: New brown leather strap from Torre straps, hand made in Italy.

Condition: The chronograph presents in very good overall condition. The case remains crisp with only light signs of wear and minor surface marks, consistent with age, probably lightly polished in the past. The dial has developed an even patina with subtle imperfections that add to its vintage appeal. The hands are well-preserved, showing minimal tarnish. Recently serviced and running reliably, this piece stands out not only for its handsome aesthetics but also for the rarity of its generous 40 mm case—a remarkable size for a 1940s chronograph.
